The West Bank medal (in German Deutsche Schutzwall-Ehrenzeichen, but also called Westwall Medaille) was a rejection of Nazi Germany.
The medal was set up on August 2, 1939 and was handed over to those who contributed to the design and construction of the fortifications on the western German front, known as the Siegfried Line, and to the troops that served here before May 1940.
